Essential Oils For Sleep
I get this question asked frequently about what essential oils are great for supporting sleep so I wanted to write a post explaining more about different essential oils.
Lavender Essential Oil
doTERRA Lavender essential oils is one of my favorite essential oils for relaxing and sleep support. I like to diffuse it at night time. You can combine it with grounding oils such as frankincense, cedarwood, sandalwood or blends like doTERRA Peace and Balance. Lavender can also be taken internally (doTERRA brand only) for feelings of anxiousness. You can apply lavender essential oil on the bottoms of your feet (1-2 drops) and also add it to a bath or on your sheets/pillow.
Serenity Essential Oil
The doTERRA Serenity blend is one of my favorite essential oil blends to diffuse while sleeping. Even my kids enjoy this blend in their bedrooms. I just add 2-4 drops of the doTERRA Serenity blend in the diffuser depending on the size of the room I’m diffusing it in. My kids ask for this blend many times because they really enjoy the calming scent. Serenity is great added to the bottoms of your feet as well.
The doTERRA Serenity softgels as are convenient and easy to use. Just take 1-2 soft gels before sleep. These are great for reducing stress also.
